FELDENKRAIS CLASSES

Wednesdays, 7-8PM

Students are guided through novel, gentle, movement variations using gravity, breath, and the imagination. These investigative lessons foster self-discovery, ease, articulation, and coordination of movement. They provide time and space for new or dormant pathways of awareness to emerge. After a lesson people frequently feel they breathe more easily and are walking or standing more comfortably. Students often discover a new ability or sensation that they can continue to learn and grow from.

Lessons usually take place lying on the floor but many incorporate sitting, kneeling, rolling, and standing depending on the group’s needs and comfort. Participants dress in comfortable clothing with no belts or big jewelry.
