Beauty is in the Heart of the Beholder
Beauty has no standards. It is an ineffable and enthusiastic expression of an open and radiant heart.
When we attend to our beauty, we breathe life into our source of empathy and compassion.
We fortify our heart so that our vulnerability is honored. We nurture it so that we increase our capacity to care. And we share it, so that we can shine the light of kindness indiscriminately.
When we recognize this light in others, we allow ourselves to attune to the frequency of love. The glow of that resonance is as much visceral as it is visual. We are able to let the tensions in our face soften, to stand with ease, to hug freely, to laugh from the belly, to tear up with emotion.
These are the places in ourselves that long to express, but often cannot. Truly life is difficult and we are all a bit wounded and battle weary. At times, love can feel threatening and require a quiet approach.
Slowly we build trust in our capacity. Slowly our capacity grows.
It sounds naive, but there is a scale to beauty that magnifies as we attend to our hearts. Creating a more beautiful world is an actionable and sacred act. We have the choice to stay openhearted regardless of circumstance. We can offer ourselves when we have the capacity and receive from others when it’s time to restore.
Beauty has no demographics and no limitations. It is effervescent, waiting for us to behold.
You cannot buy it: you can only be it.
Now and always, beautiful.
